Doce Taqueria | Our Story

Pittsburgh's taqueria since 2015
Doce started on Carson Street with a simple bet: that Pittsburgh was ready for bold, LA-style Mexican street fare. Ten years and three locations later, that bet has paid off.

A South Side start
In 2015, Doce opened on East Carson Street and found its people fast — a neighborhood that wanted real flavor, generous portions, and zero attitude. The LA street-fare concept clicked immediately, and Pittsburgh claimed it as its own.

Christie and Gage take the wheel
In 2022, Christie Miller — a longtime employee turned owner — stepped up alongside head chef Gage Lubbert, who's been cooking here since day one.

The food that keeps you coming back
Fresh proteins, scratch-made quality, vivid flavors — corn or flour, your call. The carnitas convert taco snobs; the fish taco's hard-and-soft shell combo tells you someone here actually cares.

Building Bridgeville from scratch
Bridgeville was the hardest thing Christie and Gage have built — and the most rewarding. A full-service spot with a patio, bar, trivia nights, and live music.

Still growing, still bold
South Side, North Hills, Bridgeville — each spot has its own vibe, same bold flavors running through all of them.
